My Little School International (MLS) is the first trilingual school in Riyadh to educate infants, toddlers, and elementary-age students with a U.S. standards-based education infused with Arab culture and identity. This day school aims to provide the Saudi and resident expatriate communities with a well-rounded, nurturing educational program led by certified teachers.
Accredited by AdvancED, MLS currently enrolls 175 K–6 students, most of whom are Saudi, with 6% from North America. This day school takes pride in its diverse and family-like school environment. Though MLS plans to expand, it aspires to do so by maintaining and strengthening its close-knit community. The teaching staff of 40 includes 20 Saudi teachers and 11 from North America and the U.K.
MLS believes that language learning is the key to celebrating and thriving in a globalized world, in which international and multilingual connections are paramount to maintaining a multicultural background. Its World Languages Program offers students the opportunity to learn Arabic and French as part of the core curriculum, beginning in the Early Years program and continuing through Upper Elementary. Chinese is also offered as a third language to enrich the children’s background in languages. MLS also strongly believes in the importance of educating children to give back to society through community activities, such as recycling and donating to charities.
The school is interested in hiring certified, single female teachers and interns. They will consider outstanding newly-certified female candidates as well. Teachers must hold their academic degree in the subject they will be teaching. Those under the age of 58 may obtain a work visa.
In addition to a competitive, non-taxed salary, teachers are provided with housing in a secure and guarded gated community. MLS also pays for electricity, water, and internet service. The school provides airfare for each teacher at the end of each school year.
