Dear Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of the Search Committee of the International School of Riga, Latvia, and Search Associates, we are pleased to announce that after a wide-ranging search, which attracted many qualified applicants, Mr. Craig Williamson has been appointed as the new Director, beginning in July 2017.  Mr. Williamson is currently Assistant Head of School at Chadwick International School, Incheon, S. Korea, PK-Grade 12 school of 1100 students.  Previously, Craig served as Director of Middle School and High School and as Middle School Principal at Chadwick and as MS/HS Principal at the American Creativity Academy in Kuwait.  His teaching career encompasses Key Stages 2, 3, and 4 in the UK and Qatar.  

Mr. Williamson received his BA in Geography and his B.Ed from Lakehead University (Canada), and his MA in Education from Deakin University, Australia.  He also holds the Certificate of International School Leadership from the Principals Training Center and is a recent fellow in the Aspiring Heads of School Fellowship through NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools-USA).  Craig and his wife Angela, an experienced secondary teacher, will be moving to Riga with their young family.
