To our friends in the international community—administrators, educators, and colleagues alike—we are thinking of you, and we support you.
From the outset of this ongoing global pandemic, the team at Search Associates has been closely monitoring the situation, as it changes daily and weekly, and developing new ways to assist our candidate and schools with their needs. We will continue to do this for as long as it continues to affect our schools and our candidates both personally and professionally. Our global team of Associates and Consultants is available to offer guidance and support as we all navigate the next few weeks and months together, during a challenge we continue to confront.
Throughout these difficult times, we have great admiration for the positivity and communication between school leaders and their teacher colleagues (current and future), which has been close, honest, and mutually supportive. We admire your effective action to establish a new “normalcy” for students through online learning-- embracing technologies to find new, creative and positive avenues of digital learning. As educators, we will continue to inspire—whether in school, online, or anywhere else—knowing that the students and their education is our uppermost priority.
Even as the entire international schools community is focused on managing the crisis today, many schools are looking ahead to the time when some degree of normalcy will be restored and, to this end, are actively seeking out teachers to join their communities at the start of the new school year in August/September 2020. Similarly, there are many thousands of registered candidates continuing to search for open positions in their pursuit to become international educators.
We have all been impacted by this crisis, but we take heart in knowing that each passing day brings us closer to a brighter future. Through these times of uncertainty and rapid change, one thing remains true: within the world of international education, connection and support has never been stronger and we are proud to be partners with such a resilient and caring community.
