David joined Search Associates in 2002, and from then until 2019 led the Search Associates UK office and successfully completed many international school leadership searches. From 2018 to 2021 he also served on the Executive Team of Search Associates as Director of School Relations.
A Cambridge graduate, David first became a Head of School in 1973. Over 20 years, he led schools in the UK and France (Dover College, the British School of Paris, and Marlborough College). Other leadership roles include working with the British Council in Mexico, with the UK Voluntary Service Overseas programme in Zambia, and with Ashoka, a US-based development agency. David has also served on many school boards, both in the UK and overseas.
