In 1999, after a 10-year tenure teaching high school mathematics in Alberta, Canada, Sheena, along with her husband Barry, registered with Search Associates and began a 21-year international school career. During that time, Sheena held teaching and leadership positions in Egypt, Costa Rica, and Syria. Following the sudden closure of Damascus Community School in 2007, Sheena went on to positions as the Deputy Headmaster of King’s Academy, Jordan and as the Director of the American School of Yaoundé, Cameroon. Sheena’s most recent leadership position was that of Head of Lincoln Community School in Accra, Ghana.

Sheena sits on the board of the Academy of School Heads (AISH) and is the board treasurer of the Educational Collaborative of International Schools (ECIS). She also recently completed a 3-year tenure on the Middle States Association’s International Schools Advisory Council. These positions, along with her many years of experience working in and leading international schools, provide Sheena a broad understanding of issues facing schools and school leaders around the world and will serve her well in her role as Director of School Relations. Now, Sheena joins Search Associates as a member of the executive team, serving as the Director of School Relations.
