Dear Search Associates Colleagues,

On behalf of The International School of Azerbaijan (TISA) Search Committee, we are pleased to announce that Mr. Jarrod Dale has been appointed as the new Secondary School Principal beginning in August 2025.  

Mr. Dale has been serving as the High School Assistant Principal (Grades 9-12) at the International School of Kenya since 2016. In his past leadership roles, he served as the Secondary School Assistant Principal (Grades 6-12) at Tashkent International School from 2013 to 2016, Secondary School Assistant Principal (Grades 6-12) at the International School of Tanganyika from 2008 to 2013, Head of Health & Physical Education Athletic Director at UNIS Hanoi from 2003 to 2008, and Head of Health & Physical Education Athletic Director at the International School of Phnom Penh from 2000 to 2003.

Mr. Dale holds a Diploma of Education from the University of Western Australia, and a Masters of Educational Leadership from Lehigh University. Moreover, he holds a Certificate of International School Leadership from the Principal Training Centre (PTC).

The TISA Search Committee selected Mr. Dale from a highly experienced and qualified group of candidates based on his past international leadership experience.  Dr. Angela Romney TISA Director and Chair of the TISA Search Committee, shared the following about Dr. Dale’s candidacy and appointment:

“We are thrilled to welcome Jarrod Dale as our next Secondary School Principal.  Jarrod brings a wealth of leadership experience and a deep commitment to ensuring that all students engage in future ready learning experiences that meet their individual goals. His dedication to diversity and inclusion is evident and we are confident that he will help us live out our mission of supporting high levels of learning for every student. We look forward to the positive impact Jarrod will make as he leads the Secondary School into an exciting new chapter”..

Mr. Dale looks forward to joining TISA and to serving as the next Secondary Principal. In response to his appointment, Mr. Dale shared that he is honored and excited to be appointed to this position and to work at a school that aims to engage, empower and inspire students each day. TISA is a unique and special place of learning that meets students where they are and supports their academic, social, and emotional growth. He was deeply impressed by the school community and the passion, dedication, and commitment to student learning that he witnessed during the search process. He is eager to collaborate with the talented staff, engage with the wonderful students, partner with parents, and become an active member of the vibrant TISA community. He looks forward to working to build upon the school's successes and contribute to its future growth and success.
