Appointed - Dr. Ethan Hildreth

Dear Search Associates Colleagues,
On behalf of the Search Committee and the leadership of GEMS Education in Dubai, we are pleased to share that Dr. Ethan Hildreth has been appointed to assume the role of Superintendent/CEO of Dubai American Academy beginning in 2022-2023.
Dr. Hildreth is currently serving as the Principal of East Hamilton Middle School in the Hamilton County Schools in Tennessee, a position he has held since 2020. Dr. Hildreth served as a School Integration Leader for Nord Anglia Education from 2016-2019 and a leadership consultant from 2014-2016. His career in the 40,000- student Henry County School District in Georgia, included serving as the Superintendent (2010-2014), Assistant Superintendent (2006-2010), Eagle’s Landing High School Principal (2001-2006), Eagle’s Landing High School Assistant Principal (2000-2001) and Pate’s Creek Elementary School Assistant Principal (1998-2000).
Dr. Hildreth earned a B.S. in Political Science at the United States Air Force Academy, a M.A. in English from the University of Tennessee, a Ph.D. in English from Georgia State University and Georgia Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia.
