Search Associates is delighted to welcome Alexandria (Ali) Brown as the newest member of our team. As the niece of CEO Jessica Magagna and granddaughter of Search Associates’ founder John Magagna, Ali brings a deep personal connection to the organization, along with a strong commitment to supporting educators on their international journeys.
Ali grew up immersed in the world of international education and gained firsthand experience when she spent a year as a student at a Search Associates affiliated school in Beirut, Lebanon, where her grandmother was teaching. This formative experience gave her a global perspective and a deep appreciation for the international school community.
She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Her academic background, combined with her lifelong exposure to the inner workings of Search Associates, makes her a valuable resource for educators looking to teach abroad. In her new role, she will guide candidates from New England, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington DC through the membership process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
Ali also joins her brother, Gavin Magagna Hawk, Search Associates IT Support Specialist, in carrying forward the legacy of their grandfather, John Magagna. Together, they reinforce the values of excellence, service, and dedication that have defined Search Associates for decades.
Outside of her professional life, Ali is a dedicated military spouse of 16 years and a mother of two daughters. Her ability to balance family, service, and career speaks to her resilience and dedication—qualities that will undoubtedly benefit the candidates she supports.
