Now registered with Search Associates, Mount Kelly International, Hong Kong (MKI) is Hong Kong's first preparatory school wholly modeled on the British Independent School pre-preparatory and preparatory structure. Launched in September 2017, MKI is a co-educational school for children from Years 1 to 4. In September 2018, MKI will expand through Year 8, with a boarding option. Located in So Kwun Wat, Tuen Mun, the campus rests in a residential area in a valley along the southern coast of the western mainland.

The school will be the Mount Kelly Foundation's first international campus and will be only the second HMC [Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference] school to open in Hong Kong."
MKI offers the U.K. Primary Curriculum to 400 students representing 20 nationalities–50% of whom are Hong Kong Chinese and 10% of whom are from the U.K. Students will have opportunities to apply their learning to the world around them as they engage with the local community and take part in field trips and excursions. An extended school day will allow time for the arts, games and sports, and other outdoor pursuits. The teaching staff of 30 includes one each from China and North America along with 27 from the U.K.
MKI prefers to hire single teachers but will consider couples and exceptional newly-certified teachers. Teachers need not hold their academic degree in the subject they will teach. While teachers must be certificated to obtain a work visa in Hong Kong, there is no age limit.
MKI's salary and benefits package is quite competitive. The school provides a substantial sum each year towards housing as well as one round-trip airfare. The tuition benefit is 100% for up to two children. Professional development is offered and local health insurance fully covered. Finally, teachers enjoy free lunch every school day.
