Emma Rayner Joins Our U.K. Office

Another cause to celebrate: Emma Rayner has joined the U.K. office of Executive Vice President and Senior Associate David Cope as Executive Assistant. After earning a Theology degree from the University of Exeter and two years working in London in private equity finance and recruitment, Emma decided to train as a secondary teacher, earning her U.K. Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Religious Studies Secondary at the University of Cambridge.

After some time travelling, Emma taught Philosophy and Religion as Resident Master/Tutor for the Uppingham School, Rutland, U.K. before moving to teach in Australia at The Southport School in Queensland for a year. When she returned to the U.K., Emma took up her post at Marlborough College teaching Philosophy and Theology, Religious Studies. She also became the inaugural Head of Theory of Knowledge (ToK) and Critical Thinking while working with the school through the accreditation process and first years of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. From 2012-2014, Emma became IB Coordinator at Godolphin and Latymer School in London before being named Head of Projects at the Stowe School in Stowe, U.K.

For over a decade, Emma has been teaching, training in, and training others in the U.K. secondary qualifications as well as in the IB programmes. In addition to reaching the level of IB Coordinator, she has served as a General Certificate of Secondary Education examiner for five summers in Cambridge between the years 2004 and 2011.
