Search Associates welcomes The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls (SZPAG) to its directory of superior schools. The Academy is located in the heart of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), an international city known for its safety and strong sense of cultural identity.
Established in 2000, SZPAG is accredited by both the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Council of International Schools (CIS). SZPAG's academic program assists 1,425 K-12 predominantly Arabian students through a blended curriculum of American and English studies and the " My Identity Program, " in which Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, and History and Civics are taught in Arabic. Currently SZPAG employs 54 teachers from North America, 20 from the U.K., and two from the U.A.E.
While SZPAG is only permitted to hire female teachers, it gives no preference to married couples, including teaching couples with a non-teaching spouse, or single teachers, with or without dependents. Visas are issued up to the age of 60. The school will consider outstanding certified applicants with limited experience. While teachers do not need certification to obtain a visa, they must have a degree that is relevant to their position, along with a minimum of two years experience, in order to be approved by the Abu Dhabi Education Council.

Teachers, whose initial contract is for two years and then one year thereafter, receive a generous housing and furniture allowance, as well as one annual round-trip airfare out of Abu Dhabi. Free tuition is offered for a teacher's first child and a 50% discount for the second child. Local health insurance is provided, covering employees within the U.A.E., Arab countries, South East Asia, and her home country.
