Search Associates Dubai Fair 2014

At the end of February, Search Associates hosted its biggest ever Dubai job fair, with 60 international schools and 355 candidates registered, and about 550 jobs on offer. The event's organizer, Executive Vice President David Cope, remarked,

"This fair has grown steadily each year for the past 11 years — in 2003 only 100 candidates attended — so recruiting opportunities were better than ever for schools and candidates."

A high proportion of the candidates, attending their very first job fair, commented on what a positive experience it was— regardless of whether they found a new job or not. One wrote afterwards,

"It was brilliant - very warm atmosphere. You are simply the best. Very professional in all aspects. Thank you!"

Another satisfied candidate exclaimed,

"Great, don't change a thing. I will be telling everyone about this! Good job!"

Attendees were particularly grateful for the helpfulness of the Search Associates team on hand: David Cope, Gez Hayden, Rebecca Steadman, and Audrey Hewerdine.

Another reason the event went so well was the venue. The Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira Hotel, which has been the location for the fair since 2004, provided the same very friendly and efficient service as in previous years. With its well-appointed meeting rooms and facilities, the hotel has come to understand completely what Search Associates requires to run a successful fair, ensuring that the event runs smoothly. Especially welcome this year was a much more spacious candidates' lounge.

The tally of vacancies filled has been rising strongly and steadily since the fair. As of this post, more than 80 positions have been filled, and we hope that 2014 will set a new record in that respect too.
