Vinschool The Harmony offers a bilingual, day school experience that blends modern convenience with picturesque surroundings. Students in UK Years 1–13 enjoy an exceptional educational experience while residing in a community that combines modern living with tranquility, on the outskirts of the city. Nestled in the serene Vinhomes Riverside development of Hanoi's Long Bien District, the area features well-planned residential buildings, cozy cafes, dining options, and essential amenities. VSC was conceived and is supported by the Vinschool Education System.
Established in 2018 as a not-for-profit social educational enterprise under Vingroup, Vinschool Education System has rapidly grown—with over 6,000 dedicated teachers and employees across 50 campuses nationwide—and earned recognition from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) for its leading role in Vietnam's education reform.
VSC is strategically located a short distance from Hoan Kiem, Hanoi's historic heart known for vibrant shopping districts and charming narrow streets. Long Bien District provides easy access to the breathtaking countryside surrounding Hanoi, perfect for weekend getaways. The UNESCO World Heritage site of Halong Bay, a convenient two-hour drive away, is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. Junk boat tours and sea kayak expeditions take visitors past islands named for their shapes, including Stone Dog and Teapot islands. The region is popular for scuba diving, rock climbing, and hiking, particularly in mountainous Cát Bà National Park.
Fully accredited by the Council of International Schools, VSC currently enrolls 3,788 students, most of whom are Vietnamese. The school’s bilingual program delivers the UK Secondary curriculum followed by A Levels and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education. Many of the students and about 82% of the teaching staff who are Vietnamese are able to provide exceptional support in the cultural transition for overseas teachers.
After school, students of all ages are invited to join extracurricular activities. Early years students can choose gym, art, yoga, taekwondo, and ballet. Primary school students may join clubs to improve their English; sports, such as martial arts, football, swimming, yoga, and dance; art, including visual art, dance, musical instruments, and voice; and math-science & technology, which includes robotics, 3D Makers Empire, and STEAM. While high school offerings cover the same general activities as the primary school, additional clubs prepare older students for college and beyond, including Skills Club and Career Orientation Club.
VSC hires experienced and certified teachers of diverse profiles, including couples with a non-teaching partner. They would consider interns wishing to experience overseas teaching. Teachers need not hold their academic degree in the subject they will be teaching. As per government regulations, a current teaching credential is required for a work visa, but there is no age limit.
The overseas teaching benefits package includes allowances for moving, monthly housing along with airfare at the beginning and end of each two-year contract. School lunch is provided. Tuition is free for two children and 50% for each additional child. Vinschool The Harmony provides professional development opportunities. Worldwide health insurance—except for the U.S.—is fully covered for both employees and their dependents and includes emergency evacuation.
