History
Taipei American School was founded in 1949 and is one of Asia’s top independent schools, offering an American-based Education to students in pre-kindergarten (KA) through Grade 12. The school offers both AP and IB courses, allowing learners to personalize their courses to their learning goals. As of November 2023, enrollment is 2,365 students. The school will be conducting its Diamond Jubilee year-long celebration during the 2024-25 school year. Position Qualifications

TAS is currently seeking a Director of Student Support Services to start from July 1, 2025.

Position Overview

At Taipei American School the Director of Student Support Services (DoS) KA-12 is a highly qualified leader responsible for overseeing and enhancing support services for students. The DoS possesses expertise in implementing multi-tiered systems of support, instructional coaching models, special education programs, and counseling. The DoS will provide strategic oversight, align student support services across divisions, manage admissions referral systems for students requiring additional support, and strengthen initiatives focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

In addition, the DoS will be responsible for leading professional development efforts focused on research-based practices surrounding student support, managing resources efficiently, making data-driven decisions, and ensuring the implementation of robust child safeguarding protocols. This DoS position emphasizes streamlining processes and advocating for student support while contributing to the achievement of TAS’ mission, schoolwide learning outcomes, and values.
